The first CloudFest of 2024 from March 18th till the 21st in Rust, Germany was the place to be for anyone whose heart goes out to the global cloud computing industry. And it truly was a blast, according to our sales accelerator Gintare Dilinskyte.
“Let me start with our now kind-of-legendary server-building competition,” Gintare says. “It was really exciting to see our booth buzzing with enthusiasm and the diverse range of participants, each bringing their unique talents and perspectives to the table. From seasoned professionals looking to test their expertise to newcomers eager to learn and prove themselves, the competition attracted a wide spectrum of talent and enthusiasm.”
“It was also fun”, Gintare says, about the server throwing competition: “It did not only showcase our creativity but also provided an entertaining and engaging activity for attendees – and showing people how cool our team is, is also a gratifying experience.”
But it’s not only about building servers or throwing them as far as you can, is it, Gintare?
“True. The keynote presentations also were a highlight to me, especially because of how many of them were dedicated to sustainability and green IT. It underscores the growing importance of these topics within the broader conversation about technology and its impact on the environment – a positive sign of progress and a step in the right direction towards building a more sustainable future.”
So, you found CloudFest to be an inspiring event, right? Could you share your overall experience of CloudFest?
“Absolutely, but the focus was to meet with clients in person. The energy and enthusiasm of those face-to-face interactions are incredible, and I always leave CloudFest feeling reinvigorated and inspired by the connections I’ve made. It’s a unique opportunity to foster a stronger connection beyond just emails or phone calls. It’s the part of the event I always look forward to the most. In conclusion, it was a convergence of innovation, expertise, and networking unlike any other conference, and I’m looking forward to coming back next year!”
