meet the experts – Enora Quinson

‘ I love making sure everything runs smoothly. ‘

When we say that we’re quite an international company, we mean it. We employ people from around the globe and speak 25+ languages; it’s not just words. A great example of our global vibe is Enora Quinson. She was born in the Ivory Coast, lived in Cameroon, France, the Netherlands, and Finland, moved to Bucharest last year, and has worked for Ynvolve for over eight years. Quite some time for a person who loves moving around, but that’s because she’s still learning, Enora says. ‘We’re into refurbished solutions, and that’s a different ballgame. There is no handbook; we have to learn as we go. I truly like that. It’s never boring.

Doesn’t that make your job difficult?

It can be. That’s why building relationships with our clients is the most important aspect of doing business. It might take years for a prospect to come through. Getting them to trust you takes determination. You must always be on top of your game; you have to know what you can offer a client and which solution is best for them. Not only when they are still prospects but also when they have been clients for years – especially when they have been clients for years. They have to know they can rely on us and that we will deliver and do what we promised. And that if something goes wrong, we will be there to fix it. I really like that part of my job: ensuring everything runs smoothly. I’m very detail-orientated.

Knowledge is key?

Absolutely. It makes us stand out from the competition. We know how to look further. If clients ask for certain equipment, we often offer them a better, cheaper alternative. Because we know what’s going on, we know what makes sense. For instance, circularity has been important for us for quite a while. And it may be a big topic now, but seven years ago, it wasn’t – for some companies, refurbished equipment was not even an option back then. That has changed. Sometimes, you need new equipment for a certain project, but we have many clients who now consider refurbished infrastructure. We can show them it’s not only good for the environment and their budget, but, also, it works just as well as the new gear.

Are clients always open to that from the get-go?

Some people are for sure, they’re well aware of the benefits of using refurbished infrastructure and have done so for decades. But there are still clients who are reluctant for various reasons. Sometimes it’s just a matter of awareness and by using pure logic you can convince them. If we can get them 14 terabytes for cheaper than the 12 terabytes they asked for, they become quite flexible; it makes them willing to open their horizon.

So, on to the next eight years, Enora?

I don’t see why not. I love the fact that Ynvolve is still growing. When I started as an intern, 25 people worked at our company. The next year, it was 50. Right now, it’s more than 100. We’re an ambitious company. Our work environment allows you to create something and keep evolving.
