CloudFest 2026 – Epic throws, fast builds, and a touch of magic

Epic throws, record-breaking builds & great conversations — CloudFest 2026 brought us back to Rust, Germany, from March 24 to 26.

Over three days, we welcomed visitors to our booth, caught up with clients, and hosted not one but two competitions.

The return of our server throwing competition

As the founding partner of the server throwing competition, we were proud to bring this crowd favorite back together with the CloudFest team. Over two days, participants competed to throw servers as far as possible, leading up to a grand finale between the champions of last year and this year.

The final distances were impressive: John E. reached 11.25 meters in the men’s category, while Sarah K. threw 11.44 meters in the ladies’ category.

Our server building competition enters the Serverwick Trials

Meanwhile, our server building competition kept the energy high at the booth, as hands moved quickly to assemble servers against the clock.

Peter G. set the fastest time at 42 seconds, followed by Gabriele F. with 44 seconds and Davide B. with 45 seconds. Congratulations as well to our raffle winner, Matteo S. All winners took home amazing Harry Potter LEGO sets.

In between the action at the booth, we caught up with clients, built new relationships, and had valuable conversations about circular IT, our fit-for-purpose approach, and how we support organizations in balancing performance, sustainability, and cost efficiency.
