MSP Global 2023: fueling the Need for Speed

Newsflash! The world-famous Nürburgring is not only the perfect place for Formula 1 cars and rock ‘n’ roll – it’s home to the world-famous Rock am Ring festival, and it serves quite well as an MSP Global conference location too. It was just one of the reasons why we took off to Germany with our ynvolve booth.

The event is organized by the creators of CloudFest and is of course a place to gain insights and make the connections you’ll need to thrive in this constantly changing industry. But being on this legendary racetrack brought an extra layer of enthusiasm to the equation. Maybe that’s why attendees of our now quite famous server-building challenge seemed more eager than ever.

It sounds easier than it is: assembling a server as fast as possible. Yet participants need more than just IT sector knowledge. They need a keen eye for detail, a knack for speed, and a passion for server construction. So, we take another deep bow to the daredevils who participated, and for Jean Huveneers, who completed it in 48.10 seconds, Tural Rahimli in 49.25 seconds, and Christopher Wahl in 50.78 seconds. These three won the contest, claiming victory, eye-catching car-themed Lego sets, and IT world fame.
